I practise what I teach.

I practise what I teach.
Sound, breath and body are not separate subjects — they are the same practice, entered from different doors.
See you when there's no rain.
This is not a class with a programme. It is a shared practice — yoga, meditation, sometimes guitar and mantra. Come as you are. There is no performance required, no experience needed. Just show up, and we move together.
I teach yoga because I am still learning it. Ten years of practice have taught me more about stopping than starting — about what the body reveals when you stop pushing, stop performing, stop trying to get it right.
My background is Vinyasa and Ashtanga, but what I actually teach is slower and more adaptive — woven with Chinese meridian theory and chanting, for people who want to understand what they are doing and why it matters.
Every summer, I join Tanya Popovich at Shri Gaia Institute in Crete as faculty — co-leading 100-hour and 200-hour Yoga Teacher Trainings in a small village on the south coast of the island.
The trainings are small, deep, and designed around the philosophy that yoga is a way of living — not a set of postures to perfect. I teach asana methodology, sequencing, arm balancing, and bring in nāda yoga, chanting and sound as part of the daily practice.
Una Pang was a great asset to the teaching team, providing students with detailed asana techniques and thorough workshops on teaching methodology and sequencing. I especially liked her arm balancing workshop. She was able to adapt to student levels and needs quickly and efficiently. Her yin yoga classes were wonderful and I loved listening to her sing and play guitar during yoga nāda.
The lead teacher is highly knowledgeable, welcoming, inclusive and generous with her knowledge. The other two teachers on the course were excellent: Una & Sophia both have professional musical abilities and experience and other skills to bring to the table — Chinese medicine, Kirtan, and Yang classes in Hatha and Vinyasa which were welcome. Her yin yoga classes were wonderful and I loved listening to her sing and play guitar during yoga nāda.
Tanya, Una and Penny were amazing teachers. We were introduced to a broad spectrum of practices, such as Nidra Yoga, Kirtan, Yin Yoga — and it gave me a boost of confidence and the necessary means to start teaching and spreading the positive effects of yoga.
I am truly grateful to Tanya and the teachers (Una and Sophia), as well as to all the other students I spent the training with, for these incredible memories and for helping me grow.
The next training is hosted by Shri Gaia Institute. Find dates, programme details and booking information on their website.
